How much does HelloKiwi cost?
Nothing. HelloKiwi is free – the app and your account alike.
Can iPhone and Android users plan a trip together?
Yes. Mixed groups are fully supported: everyone sees the same plan, whether on iPhone, Android or in a browser.
Do I need an account?
You can use HelloKiwi without an account, too – your trips then stay on your device. To share trips with others and sync between your devices, you need a free account. With an account you can:
  • sync your trips between your devices
  • share trips and invite travel buddies
  • back up your data on our servers
  • export your data
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
How do I delete my account?
Right in the app under Settings → Account → “Delete account and server data”. Everything else, including how to do it without the app, is on legal.hellokiwi.app.

HelloKiwi at a glance

HelloKiwi is a free travel app for groups. It brings trip planning, packing lists, tasks and expense sharing together in one app.

  • Who it’s for: groups of friends, families, couples and crews planning a trip together, from city breaks to sailing trips.
  • Platforms: iOS (App Store), Android (Google Play) and web app in the browser (app.hellokiwi.app). Groups can mix devices.
  • Price: free. No ad banners.
  • Trip planning: destinations, accommodations and transport modes (flight, train, bus, ferry, car, cruise, sailing yacht). Flight times, terminal and gate are fetched automatically. Weather forecast for each destination.
  • Packing lists: suggestions for 19 travel themes, which can be combined, plus the “Always with you” list. An optional Pack Assistant uses AI to take your destination and travel dates into account.
  • Expenses: every expense in its own currency (around 160 currencies), exchange rate fetched automatically for the day of the expense. Split equally, by percentage or by fixed amounts, also with several payers. Settle-up: "Who pays whom?"
  • Together: invite people via link, code or QR code. No maximum number of travel companions. All members edit the trip together.
  • Offline: in the app for iOS and Android, your trips are stored on the device and can be edited without a connection. Changes sync automatically the next time you’re online.
  • Account: optional in the apps; without an account, your trips stay on the device. The web app requires an account. Sign in with Apple, Google, an email code or a passkey (passkey in the apps only).
  • Privacy: servers in Germany and Spain (EU), no ad banners, data export at any time with an account. Details: Privacy Policy
